Frazer Center Issues Automobile Vandalism Alert
Thieves target vehicles with items left in open view; authorities seek black Pontiac Grand Prix with temporary tag.

Editor's note: The Frazer Center issued this vandalism alert with its parents and staff regarding recent auto break-ins in the parking lot. Trace Haythorn, the school's executive director, shared the warning with Patch to alert the general community.
Dear Frazer Community and Friends,
Another car was broken into yesterday in our main parking area. At approximately 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, a parent left her purse on the front seat and ran in to pick up her child. When she came out, her window was smashed and the purse was gone. We are looking for an affordable camera system to help us monitor this situation. In the meantime, please note the following:

- In each case, a black Pontiac Grand Prix has been parked in the lot with one or two younger African American men seated in it. They typically back into a spot; they do not have a license plate but a sign stating "tag applied for". If you see them, please notify our front desk immediately, and we will take appropriate steps.
- We have asked Druid Hills Patrol to come through our lot more frequently, especially between 7:30-9:00 a.m. and 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
- Please do not visibly leave purses, briefcases, electronics of any sort, or packages in your car, even if you're running in and out of the Center quickly.
- You may have seen in the news that early childhood education settings, preschools and daycares have become major targets for thieves. Please keep your eyes and ears open and report any suspicious behavior to the front desk of the Center.
Β On a more positive note, thank you to all of you who have responded to our board chair's recent letter and stopped using the Ridgewood entrance. Β
Β Thank you for your cooperation.
