Grant Park to Hold First-Ever Spring Tour of Homes

The Grant Park Tour of Homes is Mother's Day weekend and organizers seek volunteers.

GRANT PARK β€” Join us for one of the most extraordinary Grant Park Tour of Homes. This year is our first Mother's Day tour!

Atlanta’s largest historic neighborhood presents the 39th Annual Grant Park Tour of Homes, a celebration of our neighborhood’s historic appeal, diverse architecture (from quaint Folk Victorian to ornate Queen Anne) and lifestyle that is centered around Atlanta’s oldest park.

This is Grant Park's first Spring Tour of Homes, and it's on Mother's Day Weekend β€” May 11th and 12th. Help make the 2013 Grant Park Home & Garden Tour one of the best ever!

As a greeter, basically all you have to do is for two hours welcome people, cross out a number on a booklet with a Sharpie marker, make friends and have fun. It's easy!

Feel free to take more than one time slot to move around and enjoy the day (or days)!Β  Volunteer with your Mom for two hours and then enjoy the tour for free!Β  Do you see one of your neighbors' homes on the tour that you knowΒ orΒ you'd like to get know?Β  Be a greeter for their home/garden!

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Volunteers will receive:

  • 1 free ticket to the Home & Garden Tour
  • 1Β free ticket to the 2013 Grant ParkΒ Mothball! (themed party in the fall)
  • aΒ goody bag
  • GOOD KARMA!!!!!!!!!

Heck yeah!Β And if you volunteer with your significant other then its like getting two free tickets to two great events in the best neighborhood in the city.

GOOD KARMA?!
Yeah, Good Karma is a no-brainer, but we'll explain it a little anyway. Your help allows GPNA to give back to the community. We have fulfilled monetary grant requests for the Grant Park Community Garden, CrimeStoppers, The Grant Park Farmer's Market, The Grant Park Ambassadors andΒ so much more. Last year, the Grant Park Neighborhood Association , and we want to do it again! This year we are also focusing onΒ fundraising to spruce upΒ Ormond-Grant Park located at the corners of Grant and Ormond streets and Atlanta Avenue.

So come on! Help Grant Park and help yourself.

Thanks!
