More Than 800 Tires Collected in District 5 Earth Day Roundup

Since 2002, District 5 residents have collected 12,000 tires for proper recycling and disposal.

REYNOLDSTOWN β€” One of Atlanta’s largest Earth Day events took place on Saturday, April 27 at 815 Old Flat Shoals Road SE.

Residents of District 5 communities from East Lake to Cabbagetown took part in the 12th Annual Tire Round-Up sponsored by Atlanta City Councilwoman Natalyn Archibong.

Saturday's haul netted 837 tires.

Since 2002, District 5 residents have collected more than 12,000 tires.

Since its inception, more than 12,000 have been collected and sent to be recycled.Β  Liberty Tire graciously collects the tires at no charge.
