Motorist, Stopped for Directions, Gets Tased
Reported crimes in Atlanta Police Department Zone 6 for the week ended April 20.
These are the most recent crime incident reports in APD Zone 6, which includes Grant Park, East Lake, Kirkwood, Old Fourth Ward, Candler Park and Inman Park, among others.
Zone 6 also includes portions of Virginia-HighlandβDruid Hills Patch.

Robbery:
Location Date Shift Incident 660 Ralph McGill Blvd. April 14 Evening PEDESTRIAN- INSIDE-APARTMENT/ STRANGER-HANDGUN/ COMPLAINT OF INJURY TO RIGHT WRIST - Victim advised that he returned home at roughly 7 p.m. and heard a knock at the door. One black male about 5'10" in height pushed the front door in. He advised that they began to wrestle and he punched the perpetrator twice in the face. Next a black male about 5'08" or 5'09" in height wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie with white or yellow writing on it came into the apartment and pulled a silver pistol on him and robbed him. After this the two males left on foot, and ran down the hallway towards the parking garage. 1800 Memorial Drive April 14 Evening PEDESTRIAN-APARTMENT-OUTSIDE/STRANGER-TASER/ NO INJURY - Victim advised that he had came to the location to drop off a friend. He advised he had already dropped off the friend when he saw a young black male (suspect) walking up to him. He advised that he had seen the black male at this apartment complex before and had no cause for alarm. The suspect walked up to the driver side window and was asking him which direction he was going when he left the complex. Suspect reached in the window and hit victim with the taser on the left side of his chest. Suspect then reached through the vehicle and grabbed victim's cell phone and wallet off of the center console. Victim advised that suspect then ran out of the front gate of the complex. 1081 East Confederate Ave. April 18 Morning RESIDENCE-carjacking/STRANGER-GUN/NO INJURIES - Victim stated she arrived home and four to five young black males approached her. One of the males walked up to her and told her to get out of the car or he would shoot her. She advised that as she got out the male struck her on the side of the face with a dark colored pistol in his hand.Aggravated Assault:

Location Date Shift Incident 303 Parkway Drive NE April 17 Evening INSIDE-HOSPITAL/UNKNOWN-KNIFE/INJURIES - Victim was dropped off at the hospital with a stab wound. The person who dropped him off left the scene. Victim was uncooperative and would not tell any information, other than it happened at the gas station across the street from the hospital. 1300 McLendon Ave. April 20 Evening OUTSIDE-CITY STREET / STRANGER- HANDS, FIST/ INJURIES - Victim was attacked by 2 white males that were pretending to be the police. The victim advised he and his wife were approached by the 2 males who began to punch him repeatedly in and around his face, possibly breaking his nose.
