Parks Middle School Wins Annual βCollege & Career Spirit Weekβ
The Atlanta Public Schools' program includes opportunities for students to be exposed to varied careers and universities.
Parks Middle School brought home a new trophy plus $300 for winning First Place in the annual APS "College & Career Spirit Week", according to the TalkUp APS Blog.
The award was presented by Breneβ Bradley, Project Coordinator for College & Career Readiness and was accepted by Latarsha Mills Mckie, a Guidance Counselor at Parks Middle School. The program is designed to expose students, "to a variety of careers and post secondary institutes of higher learning."
According to the APS blog, the competition portion is part of a district-wide contest that measures how each school promoted this event and showed spirit.Β
