Prosecutors said Lenix, who was out on a date, had car trouble and sought help for a jumpstart to his car.

Williams, who took the stand in his defense, told jurors he fired only to give a "warning shot."

He told jurors he believed his life was in danger and that he thought he saw Lenix reaching into his waistband to produce a gun.

Williams 33, admitted he was a drug dealer and when police finally were able to apprehend him, he had thousands of dollars and a large amount of marijuana on him.

Sentencing is set for May 8 at 2 p.m.
