Starlight Drive-in Shooter Found Guilty of Murder
Police said Quentric Williams fatally shot a martial arts expert at the theater last May. The DeKalb County Jury agreed.

That was a DeKalb County jury's verdict in the case against Quentric S. Williams, for the 2012 murder of Tae Kwon Do world champion and Georgia National Guardsman Mitt-Chai Lenix at the Starlight Drive-in Theatre.
Williams was convicted Thursday of a number of charges including:

- Malice murder
- Felony murder
- Aggravated assault.
Channel 2 News reported jurors returned a not guilty verdict on a charge of aggravated assault on an officer.
Williams' attorney said at the trial that Williams did not intend to kill the 28-year-old medic in the May 15 incident.

Prosecutors said Lenix, who was out on a date, had car trouble and sought help for a jumpstart to his car.
Williams, who took the stand in his defense, told jurors he fired only to give a "warning shot."
He told jurors he believed his life was in danger and that he thought he saw Lenix reaching into his waistband to produce a gun.
Williams 33, admitted he was a drug dealer and when police finally were able to apprehend him, he had thousands of dollars and a large amount of marijuana on him.
Sentencing is set for May 8 at 2 p.m.
