Taste of the Trucks Fights Hunger in Atlanta
Second Helpings Atlanta hosts Taste of the Trucks to raise awareness and funds to fight hunger in metro area.

ATLANTA, GA - Second Helpings Atlanta, a premier food rescue organization in Metro Atlanta, in partnership with Redbird Events, proudly announces its first-annual Taste of the Trucks event on Saturday, November 12.
Taste of the Trucks will feature more than 15 of Atlanta’s favorite food trucks, an extensive arts and crafts market, live music by Second Hand Swagger and the Mike Veal Band, local beers and a kids’ zone featuring inflatables and games. Additionally, kids can to participate in a meaningful volunteer project by assembling lunches and decorating bags containing food donated by Whole Foods. These lunches will be delivered to nearby Partner Agencies who will distribute them to those in need. Projects will be held at noon, 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Community Service Project booth located in the Kids Zone.

“We wanted to host an event that would both raise awareness and funds to drive out hunger and reduce food waste in the metro Atlanta area, while bringing the community together around food, music, art and community service projects, says SHA executive director, Joe Labriola. “Second Helpings Atlanta's Taste of the Trucks will encompass all of those elements in an environment that’s fun for all ages.”
The event will take place Saturday, November 12 from 11 - 7 p.m. at 11 Concourse Pkwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. (The field at The Concourse, near the King and Queen Buildings)

General admission tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Kids 10 years or younger are FREE.
Tickets can be purchased here. Free parking is available. For a small additional fee, valet service and access to a VIP Tent are also available.
