The Week Ahead in East Atlanta

Stuff to do this week: Get crafty, learn CPR, lace up for a 5K, enjoy improv and dine at food trucks.

Here are five things to know about the coming week in East Atlanta. For a full list of events, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. MAMA Art Collective. This group of crafty women with young kids has found a place to "create, explore DIY design and craft and kickstart creative businesses." They meet at 9:30 a.m. Mondays at Martha Brown United Methodist Church at 468 Moreland Ave. SE. Prices start at $25 per month plus one childcare shift.

2. CPR & first aid & AED certification. Learn these life-saving skills at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Martha Brown United Methodist Church. $50.

3. Run with the Wolves 5K. You can also do the one-mile run and enjoy a health fair. Starts at 7:30 a.m. at Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School at 820 Essie Ave. SE. $15.

4. Improv competition. Dad's Garage Theatre Company's longest running improv show, TheatreSports, features two teams and a host that runs about an hour and a half with a fifteen minute intermission. Starts at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. $15.

5. Food trucks. Stand up and have a bite. 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 839 Memorial Drive SE, Atlanta. $1 admission.
