WEEKEND PLANNER: Candler Park Movie Night; Yoga Focused on Joints; Sunday in the Park and More

FRI — Oct. 4:

  • Martinis & IMAX Guest Mixologist Series: On select Fridays, the Fernbank Museum’s Great Hall will transform into a sophisticated bar, featuring some of Atlanta’s most well-known mixologists. 6:30 PM
SAT — Oct. 5:
  • Candler Park Movie Night: Dr. Seuss' The Lorax 
    movie night festivities start at 7:00ish and the feature presentation
    will go on as soon as it gets dark enough-in front of the pool house in Candler Park.
  • Joint-Freeing Yoga with Sandra Bonkienne: Embrace your weekend with a yoga practice that increases flexibility. The first part of class focuses on a series of movements that effectively free the joints and muscles from stiffness and toxins. 
  • 2ND ANNUAL SUMMERHILL FALL FESTIVAL!: The festival, which starts at 11 a.m., feature Bands, Bites and Beer. Family and Doggy Friendly market place and an Adult Big Wheel Race!
  • 20th Annual Habitat Road Race: Join us for the 20th Annual Habitat Road Race! All proceeds from the race will be used to fund Mt Bethel's 33rd Habitat home.
SUN — Oct. 6:
  • 34th Annual Sunday in the Park: The first Sunday in October, Atlanta’s Historic Oakland Cemetery reconnects with its Victorian roots with Sunday in the Park, the most unique fall festival in the South. Sunday in the Parkfeatures an artists market, living history demonstrations, storytellers, Irish dancers, a variety of live musical entertainment, carriage tours, and free walking tours, with an opportunity to enter some of the magnificent mausoleums.
