2021 Election Results Certified By Cobb County

Cobb County Board of Elections certified the Nov. 2 election results, including for Marietta mayor, most city council races and Ed-SPLOST.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Election results from the Nov. 2 municipal elections in Cobb County are officially certified by the county as of Monday, including the races for Marietta mayor, most Marietta City Council races and the approval of the sales tax referendum.

The Cobb Board of Elections unanimously voted to approve the results Monday, giving numerous incumbents a return to their seats and bringing in a slew of new representatives, too.

According to election results, just over 50,000 people voted in last week's elections countywide out of 530,097 registered voters, giving a voter turnout of 9.47 percent. Smaller turnouts mean even in close races, most recounts won't be considered under Georgia law, which requires a margin of 0.5 percent or less to request a recount.
