4 Teens Charged in Robbery that Led to Fatal Stabbing
Marietta Police arrested four teens for the robbery in connection with the stabbing death of a man in a bus station parking lot.

Marietta Police charged four teenagers in the robbery that led to the retaliation murder of 18-year-old Marqise Carruthers, Marietta Police Public Information Officer David Baldwin said.
Demetres Plasencio, 18, Jordan Billinsly, 18, and a 16-year-old were arrested and charged with robbery. Samario Koger, 19, was charged with robbery but remains at-large.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, police responded to the Cobb Community Transport (CCT) Terminal parking lot, near the area of South Marietta Parkway and Aviation Road, for a report of an unconscious person in a grassy area near the road, Baldwin said.

Carruthers was discovered with a single knife wound to the chest, Baldwin said. Carruthers was rushed to Kennestone Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation revealed that an altercation had occurred between the victim and two others at another location and ended near the CCT parking lot.

On Sunday, Sept. 29, Marietta Police Detectives arrested 14-year-old Josue Chapa and 16-year-old Brandon Betancourt, both of Marietta, and charged them as adults with murder, Baldwin said.
