- Cobb Elections will be offering additional days to return absentee ballots for the Nov. 8 General Election. Residents will be able to return absentee ballots on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Cobb Election. The last day to request an absentee ballot was on Oct. 28. Click for a list of in-person "Last Call" locations. (East Cobb News)
- Cobb County Public Health will be hosting a free COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Nov. 9 at the Mountain View Regional Library. The clinic will be operating between 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Residents five years and older are eligible to receive a vaccination. No appointments are necessary. (Press Release Desk)
- The Cobb County School District's hand-rinsing machines have had operational problems. The district spent almost $10 million on the machines. According to a records request, the machines have malfunctioned or refused to operate more than 100 times since their installation. The devices were purchased and installed as a public health measure at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. (Subscription: AJC.com)
