Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:
- An arrest has been made in the July murder of a man killed in a Smyrna apartment complex. The suspect was arrested on Wednesday in the area of Delk-Powers Ferry Road. Tavis Crankfield, 20, of Decatur has been charged with the shooting death of Jason Escoffrey on Jul. 17 at the swimming pool in the Village West Apartments. Crankfield is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond. (East Cobb News)

- Cobb County has announced the early voting schedule for the U.S. Senate runoff election. The early voting period will last for six days, starting Nov. 27 and concluding on Dec. 2. Cobb County has over 12 voting stations prepared for the runoff. The vote will determine whether Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock or Republican Herschel Walker will claim a position in the U.S. Senate. (East Cobb News)
