''We have a narrow window of opportunity to affect real change in America,' Gray says.
EAST COBB, GA -- A Johns Creek City Councilman has thrown his hat into the ring to represent Georgia in Congress.
Bob Gray has announced he will seek Georgia's 6th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, Patch has learned.

Gray, a Republican, is aiming to serve East Cobb, north Fulton and a swath of DeKalb County.
“We have a narrow window of opportunity to affect real change in America," Gray said. "President Trump is going to need willing partners in Congress to make that happen. While the political elite is obsessed with serving their own interests, the American people are ready for business leaders who can deliver results in Washington. After being blessed with three decades of success in the private sector, I’m ready to serve my country and community in Congress.”

The 6th District seat is currently held by Rep. Tom Price, who is expected to join the Trump Administration as the secretary of Health and Human Services.
Price is expected to help Trump repeal the Affordable Health Care Act, a linchpin of the previous administration.
