- A local Cobb County audiologist is warning residents about over-the-counter hearing aids. The Federal Trade Commission has recently changed its rules to allow retailers to sell hearing aids. Dr. Erin Rellinger, an audiologist at Eye Consultants of Atlanta Hearing Center, warns that the new hearing aids at retailers could be more expensive than hearing aids dispensed by a professional.
