Cobb Cityhood Town Hall Scheduled For Sewell Mill Library
The next of Cobb County's series of town halls to discuss the upcoming cityhood referendums will take place in East Cobb next week.
EAST COBB, GA — Cobb County government officials are hosting a series of town halls about the upcoming cityhood referendums, and the next one is set in East Cobb — one of the areas up for incorporated cityhood.
The next town hall is set for Thursday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center, 2051 Lower Roswell Road.
This town hall will be focused on the proposed city of East Cobb, which voters will either approve or deny at the May 24 primary election.

Last week's town hall focused on police, fire and 911 services for the proposed city, which is the only cityhood movement planning to offer public safety services of the four proposed Cobb cities.
Since the cityhood bill passed the state legislature, county officials have expressed concern over the potential financial impact to the county if all four cities are approved and wondered specifically how public safety services will be provided.
