Cumberland Mall Celebrates Teachers, Recognizes CCSD Teacher

In recognition of National Teacher’s Day on May 6, Cumberland Mall has awarded Christy Garvin a $500 Shop Etc. mall gift card.
Cumberland Mall asked its Facebook followers to nominate and vote for top performing teachers in the community. Garvin, of Vaughn Elementary School in Powder Springs, received the most votes on the mall’s Facebook page from April 10 - 22.

Garvin, who works with students from kindergarten through the fifth grade, said she is very proud to have her work recognized.
“Thank you so much for letting me know that I received the highest number of votes in the Celebrate Teachers contest. That is great news, and I am very appreciative to Cumberland Mall for sponsoring a contest like this one,” she stated.
