Decomposed Body Pulled From Chattahoochee River in Cobb

Cobb police say a badly decomposed body was discovered by a fisherman Monday afternoon at the edge of the Chattahoochee River.

According to Sgt. Dana Pierce, the fisherman discovered the adult-sized body just south of I-20 near Austell.

It is not known if foul play was involved or if the person has been reported as missing. An autopsy will be conducted by the Cobb medical examiner’s office.
