East Cobb Home Suffers Fire, Smoke Damage

The homeowner told the fire department no one was home at the time of the Jamerson Road house fire.

EAST COBB, GA — A Jamerson Road home suffered heavy fire damage Sunday afternoon, according to the Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services.

Fifteen units responded to the fire around 12:45 p.m. after getting several calls of heavy smoke and fire. Fire officials said the home and garage "were a total loss."

The fire began to spread to the woods, but crews were able to quickly extinguish it before other homes were damaged, fire officials said.
