East Cobb Park Throws a Birthday Party

Sharon Mason of the Friends for the East Cobb Park previews Saturday's 10th anniversary festivities.

Sharon Mason, president of the Friends for the East Cobb Park, met with East Cobb Patch earlier this week to offer this video preview of Saturday's 10th anniversary celebration that begins at 10 a.m.

Among the dignitaries to be on hand include U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson and Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens, both East Cobb residents, Cobb Commission Chairman Tim Lee, East Cobb commissioners Bob Ott and JoAnn Birrell, State Sen. Judson Hill and others.

Here's some background information on the history of East Cobb Park, which was formally dedicated on June 28, 2003.

The park is located at 3322 Roswell Road. Music, food, face-painting for kids and other activities will continue until 1 p.m.

Overflow parking will be available at Fullers Park.
