East Cobb Park to Feature Music, Games
The last "Sunday Funday" until Sept. 8 is this weekend.

East Cobb Park this Sunday will host the last "Sunday Funday" until September.
Scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. June 30, attendees will have the chance to enjoy games, facepainting and the sounds of City Beat, a 10-piece band that performs rock, pop, jazz and Latin cover music.
"Sunday Funday" will not pick back up until Sept. 8, but it will be a busy summer for East Cobb Park, which turns 10 years old this week.
East Cobb Park's official dedication ceremony was held on June 28, 2003, five years after a group of individuals with a desire to create a passive park formed the Friends for the East Cobb Park.
The nonprofit volunteer organization that turned that dream into a reality will celebrate the milestone from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 13 with food, bounce houses, guest speakers, a disc jockey and entertainment.
