COBB COUNTY, GA — Nonprofit programs in the Cobb County area are taking part in Georgia Gives Day on Thursday, Nov. 17. More than $1 million had already been raised early Thursday as the statewide program kicked off its fifth year. That total pushes the overall support to more than $10 million since the first event in 2012.
Donors can continue giving to local nonprofits any day of the year at GAgives.org. "We're ecstatic that, year after year, Georgia Gives Day continues to break fundraising records in support of nonprofits across the state," said Karen Beavor, president and CEO of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. "Georgia Gives Day makes it easy for people to help their communities thrive with just a few clicks.”
