Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

  1. Commissioners from Cobb County plan to formally file an objection against an annexation request by the City of Marietta. City officials have asked for nearly 170 acres of land by Bells Ferry Road. The land would be used to create a major subdivision. Locals are concerned about the likelihood of increased traffic throughout the area. (East Cobb News)
  2. North Cobb Library staff member Vidhya Jagannathan has been published in the Georgia Library Quarterly. Her article covered North Cobb's community garden and its success. The piece also addressed how the community garden has positively impacted the library as a whole. You can read the full article here. (Cobb County Public Library via Facebook)
  3. House shopping online is one thing, but to get a real feel for a house, you have to visit it yourself. To help prospective buyers in the East Cobb area, here are some of the newest homes to hit the local market, with information included on the next scheduled open house.
