Murder Suspect Found Sleeping in 24-Hour Gym in East Cobb: Police
Jovan Huggins has been sought in a Oct. 21 murder in Tampa, Florida, according to Cobb County Police.

EAST COBB, GA — A man sought in a October murder in Tampa was found sleeping inside the 24-hour Village Fitness on Powers Ferry Road, according to Cobb County Police.
Jovan Huggins was arrested on Nov. 9. Information regarding the arrest was released on Friday.
"As officers made contact with the man, they determined he was providing several false names and birth dates," according to a post shared on Facebook.

Officers placed the man under arrest for false information, eventually learning it was Huggins, and that he was wanted for a murder in Tampa.
Huggins was sought in the death of his girlfriend. Latoya D. Smith, 30, was found early Oct. 20 lying in the middle of West Flora Street in Tampa. She had suffered a fatal head injury, according to the Tampa Police Department. Smith, a mother of three, was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced death.

Tampa Police said Smith's black Dodge Charger was involved in a hit-and-run crash a short time after her body was found. A man was seen running from the vehicle after the crash.
Witnesses told detectives Smith had been with her "new boyfriend, Jovan Huggins, a short time prior to her being located in the roadway," an email from the Tampa Police Department said.
Information has not been released on how Huggins traveled from Tampa to Cobb County.
