New Cardiology ​Services Center Comes To East Cobb

EAST COBB, GA -- Northside Heart, a cardiology services center, has opened a location in East Cobb, the company announced Friday. Cardiovascular experts Dr. Michael Balk and Dr. Faresa Weragoda will lead the practice, which is located at 4800 Olde Towne Parkway, Suite 420.

Weragoda is a board-certified physician in cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular ultrasound while Balk is a board-certified physician specializing in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. “We are thrilled to open a Northside Heart location to serve the Marietta community,” Weragoda said in a news release. “Our cardiovascular patients will now get the highest standard in cardiovascular care — close to home.”

Balk serves as president of the American Heart Association Metro Atlanta-Greater Southeast Affiliate Board of Directors and is medical director of the Northside Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute.

“Northside Heart is committed to educating our communities about ways to prevent heart disease and encourage preventative care,” Dr. Balk said.
