- According to the latest poll results, Cobb County voters have decided that Mableton will become a city in its own right. While not a landslide, the vote for Mableton cityhood won by a comfortable margin. Parts of unincorporated Smyrna and Austell will be included in the city. East Cobb, Lost Mountains, and Vining all lost the vote to become cities. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Roni Robbins, East Cobb resident and author, will be interviewed today at the Book Festival of the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Atlanta. Robbins will be there to discuss her historical novel, which is based on the true-life experience of her grandfather fleeing persecution in pre-Nazi Europe. The event will include a Q&A session and signing. (East Cobb News)
