Police: Marietta Dollar General Robbed at Gunpoint

The crime reportedly occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m. at the business located at 2200 Powder Springs Road.

The Cobb County Police Department’s Robbery Squad is investigating an armed robbery, which occurred Thursday morning at a Marietta Dollar General store.

The crime reportedly occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m. at the business located at 2200 Powder Springs Road.  

According to investigators, a male, armed with a handgun, entered store and began demanding that employees give him cash from the cash register and safe. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the two female victims, the offender fled on foot from the rear of the business toward the Horseshoe Bend Subdivision.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, standing around 5-foot-8 and weighing between 160-180 pounds. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, a red bandanna and black boots.
