Report On Best Places In Georgia - Where Do Cobb Cities Rank?
Movoto Real Estate ranked 81 cities with populations over 10,000 by reviewing amenities, quality of life, crime, weather, tax rates, unemployment and commute time.
The company looked at cities with population over 10,000, which left them with 81 cities in Georgia to review. The company reviewed the aforementioned categories from U.S. Census Bureau data.
Of the 81 cities reviewed, only one Cobb city, Kennesaw, made the top 10. (tied for 10th with Gainesville)
Here's what Movoto had to say about Kennesaw: "This Cobb County city is well known for its unique festivals and community events, like the Big Shanty Festival, filled with arts and crafts booths and delicious food.
"According to our analysis, Kennesaw may want to add a few more things to its list of bragging rights, like a crime rate 48 percent lower than the rest of the state, and a quality life ranking of 18th overall. What’s so great about the quality of life here? Kennesaw residents enjoy a variety of amenities and a median household income of $61,355, one of the higher incomes in the state."
The city of Canton came in first. Other Cobb cities ranked in the top 50 were Marietta (12th), Smyrna (20th), Acworth (26th) and Powder Springs (32nd). The top 10 list includes:
