Sacre Voci to Perform at St. Catherine's

The Marietta-based choral group will be in concert at the East Cobb church Saturday night.

Thanks to Bill Ivey of St. Catherine's Episcopal Church for sending this along about a choral concert at the church (571 Holt Road) Saturday night. In January Sally Litchfield of The Marietta Daily Journal did this extensive profile of the 16-member chamber choral group, whose aim is to keep Renaissance-era sacred music alive and thriving for contemporary audiences:

Sacre Voci (Sacred Voices) will perform at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. The choral group specializes in early sacred music and contemporary works for chamber choir. The concert is offered by St. Catherine’s at no cost to attendees.

Founded in 2007, Sacre Voci has a vision to be a catalyst for the renaissance of sacred choral music and arts education. The choir strives to provide excellence, integrity and innovation in their performances as well as using the power of the human voice to foster a growing community of music appreciation

Director Edward Schneider is the Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, and is the founding Artistic Director of Sacre Voci.
