  1. East Cobb Republican Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick clarified her proposed bill to implement thorough testing requirements for certain marijuana-adjacent products was not intended to be a ban. Kirkpatrick said that her proposal was simply a means for preventing certain THC products "from getting into the hands of children." On Tuesday, Georgia lawmakers voted to put the bill on hold after an amendment was added shortly before voting that Democrat lawmakers said would have banned certain types of THC products. (GPB News)
  2. On Tuesday, Cobb County commissioners voted to reject a proposal to build a self-storage facility at the intersection of Terrell Mill and Delk roads. The request by ADP Terrell Mill would have rezoned 2.55 acres of land that is currently zoned for residential use only. (East Cobb News)
  3. New residential properties continue to hit the market in Georgia. Check out this list of five upcoming open houses in and around the East Cobb area. Open houses include a three-bedroom, three-bathroom house for $365,000 and a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house for $469,000.(East Cobb Patch)
