Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

  1. Last week, there was another snatch-and-run shoplifting incident at the popular Bath and Body Works store in East Cobb, according to Cobb County Police. The incident took place at an upscale outdoor mall. As a result, Bath and Body Works shoppers are feeling frustrated and disgusted. (FOX5)
  2. The East Cobb Quilters' Guild is hosting a "Sewcial" event on Thursday. They are inviting 18 quilters to produce special items for various charities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Community Room at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Town Center. The quilters will sew Beads of Courage bags for cancer patients, placemats for Meals on Wheels, pillowcases for hospitalized children through Ryan's Case for Smiles, and quilts for the Cobb Department of Family and Children Service.   3. A video has just been released of a Cobb County arrest last week, in which a man suspected of murder in Miami, Florida was arrested in Cobb County. On Mar. 13, a suspect's vehicle was detected by a Flock License Plate Recognition camera in Cobb County, as reported by the Cobb County Police Department. The vehicle was then spotted by Officer Beiermann near Cumberland Mall, leading to a pursuit after the driver evaded a block attempt by the officers. The chase ended when an officer successfully used their patrol car to disable the driver on Cobb Parkway close to Akers Mill Road. (FOX5)
