Stay Dry with 'The Motown Sound"

The young singers who "rehearsed" in East Cobb will be performing for real at the Strand from July 4-14.

In April East Cobb citizens caught a glimpse of "The Motown Sound" during a town hall meeting (see the attached video).

On Thursday, the young performers will take to the stage at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre for a series of shows that conclude on July 14. It's the third consecutive year for the show at the Marietta Square institution.

With rainy weather forecast for the Cobb area for Independence Day, this may be the best entertainment bet since it's assured to be a dry one.

East Cobb native Earl Reece, the Strand's executive director, told Marietta Patch that “the week of July 4 is the perfect time to celebrate our country and the music that our country loves. The Motown Sound is ninety minutes of non-stop energy, excitement, and fun.  It is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser!”
