STEM certification for Georgia’s elementary schools follows a rubric that contains 15 categories, including a specialized STEM curriculum, non-traditional student participation, partnerships with businesses and post-secondary institutions, STEM labs, and technology integration.
Tritt spent five years working to meet all the criteria on the rubric, and were certified as a STEM school on Oct. 25. Tuesday was a special ceremony at the school which featured former principal Dr. Karen Frost, who spearheaded the effort until her retirement.
