Uncle Maddio's Coming to East Cobb

A couple of weeks ago we told you about the pending arrival of Brixx Wood Fired Pizza at The Avenue East Cobb. 

Another pizza restaurant will soon follow in the East Cobb area. Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint, with current locations near Town Center Mall and Cumberland Mall, is coming to the Providence Square Shopping Center. 

It will be located across from Le Madeleine restaurant in the space once occupied by the Verizon Wireless store, which is now at Merchant's Walk. 

The Atlanta-based Uncle Maddio's calls itself "fast casual pizza," in which customers select their own crust, cheese and toppings as they order in line. 

The chain currently has 16 locations, all in the South. The East Cobb location is one of more than 120 restaurants "in development" and among 20 slated to open by the fall.

Uncle Maddio's recently opened in Alpharetta, Buckhead and Dunwoody.
