Twelve Dancing Princesses: The Rock Musical

Once upon a time in a small village was a tiny orphanage that housed twelve orphan girls. None of the orphans knew where they had come from. One night magic mirrors began arriving at the orphanage. Suddenly, the orphans find themselves involved in a mystery, but will they solve it in time.

Presented by Young Actors Playhouse the musical will take place on Saturday, July 27th, 2013 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 11 Whitlock Ave., Marietta 30064.

Back to School Community Festival

The Back to School Community Festival is a family style event with children performers, live entertainment, carnival food and games, prizes and giveaways. The event will be collecting and distributing backpacks and school supplies for needy children. July 27, noon to 3 p.m. Unity North Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Rd., Marietta.

Atlanta Ice Cream Festival

This event includes a variety of health and wellness agencies, fitness routines and more. Come to the park, eat some ice cream, and prepare yourself for lots of laughter, break a sweat with the fitness activities, receive information from the participating health/wellness agencies of the Atlanta community and have a great time.  

Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. 1792 County Services Pkwy, Marietta.

Marietta Glover Park Concert Series

The Glover Park Concert series continues on July 26, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., with The Grapevine's beach music and oldies. 

The concert is free and takes place in Glover Park on Marietta Square.
