Gwinnett School Board Approves 4 New Principals
Duncan Elementary, Level Creek Elementary, Mountain Park Elementary and Trip Elementary schools will all get new leaders.
The Gwinnett County school board has appointed four veteran educators to lead elementary schools in the coming school year.
School board leaders approved the changes at its monthly meeting May 17.
The new school principals are:

- Carrie Yougel becomes the new principal at Duncan Elementary School in Hoschton. She is the current assistant principal at Harris Elementary School in Duluth. Her appointment is effective June 3.
- Daniel Skelton becomes the new principal at Level Creek Elementary in Suwanee. He is currently the assistant principal at McConnell Middle School. His appointment is effective July 1.
- Allan Gee becomes the principal of Mountain Park Elementary in Lilburn. He previously was principal at Centerville Elementary, and assistant principal at Jones Middle. Now, he is returning to GCPS, after spending time in Home, Ala. His appointment is effective June 3.
- Rukina Walker becomes the new principal of Trip Elementary in Grayson. She is currently assistant principal at Craig Elementary in Lawrenceville. Her effective date is July 1
