Parkland Communities, an Atlanta-based developer and homebuilder, is ending 2025 with continued momentum for 2026 by purchasing land for three new townhome projects in Snellville. The city has emerged as a magnet for growth thanks to its strong schools, expanding job centers, thriving retail districts and increasing demand for attainable housing. This strategic expansion reflects Parkland’s focus on placing thoughtfully designed communities in locations where today’s renters want to live. The Hwy 78 corridor is experiencing notable investment, with Fuqua Development transforming the former Gwinnett Tennis Center into Mountain Marketplace, a new lifestyle destination just half a mile from Stonehaven Park.

“Snellville continues to attract families and professionals who want convenience, quality and connection,” said Jim Jacobi, President of Parkland Communities. “These projects allow us to deliver missing middle homes in a high-demand area at new home price points not available in the market. This will help first-time buyers and new residents put down roots in Gwinnett County.”

The three new communities, Bethany Park, Brookwood Green and Stonehaven Park, will add much-needed housing to one of the region’s most active suburban markets.

Brookwood Green

Located at 2791 Stone Mountain Highway, Brookwood Green spans 8.2 acres and will feature 64 for-sale townhomes centered around a shared community green. Residents will have convenient access to South Gwinnett Park, Piedmont Eastside Medical Center and Brookwood High School, as well as dining and shopping along Scenic Highway. Priced from the mid-$300,000s, these rear-entry, two-car garage townhomes are not only affordable but also the only new construction available in the sought-after Brookwood High School district.

Stonehaven Park

Just down the road, Stonehaven Park will add 95 new for-sale townhomes to a sought-after Gwinnett County location. The 10.8-acre community is near everyday conveniences such as Walmart, Target and Home Depot and natural attractions including Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary and Stone Mountain Park. New homes in this community will start under $300,000 – a desirable and hard-to-find price point. Homes include a mix of front-entry townhomes with one- and two-car garages, and rear-entry townhomes with two-car garages.

Bethany Park

Rounding out the trio of new developments is the build-to-rent community Bethany Park. This community will feature 140 of Parkland’s signature rear-entry townhome plans, with a 14,000-square-foot commercial building in downtown Snellville City Center. Located at Civic Drive SW, Pate Street, Henry Clower Boulevard and East Main Street, this 8.95-acre parcel was purchased from the Snellville Community Church.

Bethany Park is an example of a growing trend in urban and suburban development, where churches partner with residential developers to transform underutilized land into much-needed housing. As part of the broader YIMBY (Yes in My Backyard) movement, these YIGBY (Yes in God's Backyard) collaborations address housing shortages while allowing faith communities to fund mission-driven initiatives or maintain aging facilities.

Thoughtfully Designed Townhomes

Across all three communities, homes are designed with livability and comfort in mind. Each townhome will feature a garage, a spacious kitchen, and an oversized primary suite with a walk-in closet and a spa-inspired bath with dual vanities, inviting residents to unwind in style. Covered outdoor living spaces overlook the manicured greenspaces, ideal for entertaining or enjoying quiet evenings at home.
