Report: Suwanee Woman Was Lake Lanier Drowning Victim
The drowning was the first of the summer at the lake.

Authorities have said that Becky Wallace, 55, of Suwanee drowned Saturday in a tubing-related accident at Lake Lanier.
According to 11alive.com, Wallace and three children were being pulled in a tube by a pontoon boat when the tube flipped. The accident occurred about 2:15 p.m. in the Shoal Creek area of the lake.
Wallace tried to help the children, but was not wearing a life jacket. The children were wearing flotation devices. It’s not known whether alcohol was a factor. A Department of Natural Resources spokesperson said there’s no indication that another vessel was involved.
