Are Childhood Obesity Ads Too Aggressive?
The past decade has been marred by reports showing how American children are growing, and not in the good way. Are these new Atlanta ads too much?

Over the past few months, Holly Springs and Hickory Flat cable watchers have been exposed graphic ads on the issue of childhood obesity. These black-and-white public service announcements focus on the fact that parents are rationalizing their childrens' weight instead of dealing with it.
Those ads are part of the Strong4Life campaign from the Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. The campaign's website states that, "We canβt continue to ignore the fact that Georgia has the second highest rate of childhood obesity in the country. Kids are now suffering from diseases once seen only in adults. Start by joining the community. Itβs a small step in a long journey, but together we can get there. Now is the time to fight back."
Now, those ads are attracting national attention.
