Charlie, a 13-year-old Cocker Spaniel hasn't had it easy so far.
He was bought as a puppy by a family who didn't have the time or resources to devote to a dog, according to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
He was never trained, so they put him in an unfinished basement for 13 years. After convincing his owners to surrender him, Angels Among Us took Charlie in to nurse back to health and to give him a better life.

Once rescued, he had two tumors removed, much-needed grooming done, plus the necessary vetting to make him a happy, healthy dog again.
He is looking for an adult-only home with someone who will be willing to give him lots of attention.
