Around the Halls

recognized its Science Fair winners: Matthew Motika, Melina Maldinado, Kendel Bennett, Caitlin Franchini and Bryon Schirner.

Georgia author T.M. Taylor visited on Monday to read his short stories after students wrote him letters asking him to come visit. During his visit, they discussed the author’s purpose, character development and personal stories filled the day the students enjoyed with the author.

 Zach Rider won first place in the animated graphic design in the Sequoyah Regional Technology Fair.  Emily Sequin from School won third place in the animated graphic design category. Shannah Mallett from Macedonia won first in the case modification. Dylan Schopmann from Macedonia took second in case modification. 

Riley Rich from Macedonia won first in the third and fourth grade digital photography. Connolly Huth from Macedonia won second in the third and fourth grade digital photography. Aubrey McGhee and Danielle Olivares from Macedonia won second in the fifth and sixth grade digital photography category.

Leigh Gotfredson and Joseph Olivare from Macedonia won first in the digital video production category for third and fourth grades. Shannah Mallet and Emily Sequin from Macedonia won first place in the digital video category for fifth and sixth grades. Brandon Solon and Dylan Schopmann from Macedonia won second in the digital video production for the fifth and sixth grades.

Fourth graders from Macedonia dominated the multimedia applications category. Riley Rich and Connolly Huth won first.  Blake Turner and Bailey Reed won second. Alexandria Neill won third. 

Fifth graders from Macedonia also ran the multimedia applications category. Cameron Holbrook took first while Carson Knauff won second. 

Miranda Flagg and Meredith Allen from Macedonia took first and second in the non-multimedia applications.

Chase Greene from took first in the project programming category.

Jackson Taylor and Andrew Doerr from won first in the third and fourth grade robotics category.

Bailey Rende and Cole Smith from Macedonia took second in the fifth and sixth grade robotics category. 

Blake Turner from Macedonia won first in the third and fourth grade technology literacy challenge. Connoly Huth from Macedonia took second and Mirands Flagg from Macedonia won third. Cameron Holbrook from Macedonia took second in the fifth and sixth grade technology literacy challenge while Danielle Olivares and Shannah Mallett tied for third.

Leigh Gotfredson from Macedonia took first in the Web 2.0 Internet applications category.
