Autumn Hill Honors Soldiers

The Hickory Flat nursery sent a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Owners and staff of sent $1,200 to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that helpsΒ military men and women who have service-connected wounds, injuries, andΒ illnesses since Sept. 11, 2001.

They donated 10 percent of their sales on Sept. 24 and raffled off a patriotic quilt to raise the money. Diane Rempfer, Hickory Flat store manager, donated the fabric and time to make the quilt.

The drawing was held on Veterans Day when Matt Perkins of Canton got the quilt.
