Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a structure fire this morning at approximately 7:45 at 278 Lewis Way in Canton. A caller to Cherokee 911 stated that she could see flames and smoke coming from the window of a mobile home.  The caller also advised that she sees a man coming and going from the residence often, but later stated that the male was not on scene.  Firefighters arrived on scene minutes later and reported that the single-story mobile home was fully involved.  There was alot of debris and junk around the area of the mobile home which made it difficult for firefighters to get closer to the fire. The mobile home, however, was completely destroyed. According to Fire Investigator, Ashley Pope, “There are not any details to add right now as the cause of the fire is still being investigated."  No injuries were reported.
