Wiccan Leader Dies in North Georgia

David John White, known to his friends as "Lord Merlin," died at age 76 on Sept. 23. White was named Elder High Priest of the Church of Ravenwood and was a practitioner of Wicca. 

According to the Church of Ravenwood website, they are located in Dallas. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Candice Lehrman, known to practitioners as "Lady Sintana." He helped create and administer Georgia's first pagan congregation to receive tax-exempt status as a church.

White was born in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, and received several awards as a boy scout. After traveling the world, he moved to Atlanta in the mid-1970s to serve as a Regional Manager for Sears. He moved to a small wildlife sanctuary in North Georgia in 2005.
