Kent Johnston Wins Avery Spelling Bee
The fifth grader will represent the school at the county-wide spelling bee on Jan. 24.

Fourth and fifth graders from recently competed in the school-level spelling bee. Fifth grader Kent Johnston from Michele Dodge's homeroom won the bee and will be. Runner-up is fifth grader Riley Jones from Julie Cato's homeroom.
Dr. John Poidevant, Avery's school psychologist, was the caller, and judges were Assistant Principals Stacey Krutz and Kim Hagood, along with third grade teacher Randy Robinson.
