Adaptive Recreation Dance Night Comes To Johns Creek

Johns Creek's event, for residents age 15 and older with special needs, will be held Sept. 14 at Newtown Park.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The city of Johns Creek will host its Adaptive Recreation Dance Night on Friday, Sept. 14 at the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater.

The event, dubbed "Under the Stars," will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., so residents are encouraged to bring their dance shoes to show off their moves on the floor.

Residents age 15 and older with special needs are invited to attend the party, which will have pizza, drinks, music and all types of fun.

Parents are encouraged to drop off young adults to enjoy the dance. Entry into the event is $10 per person, and that fee can be paid at the gate. Attendees are asked to RSVP with Great Prospects by calling 770-314-4243 or emailing info@greatprospectsinc.org.

Adaptive Recreation Programs & Events are designed to expose participants to new experiences, enhance self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence in a fun and safe environment. The Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater is located at Newtown Park at 3150 Old Alabama Road.
