JOHNS CREEK, GA — Five-week-old Milan Simpson is home safe after an Amber Alert was issued Sunday concerning her wellbeing, according to authorities.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation posted on X about the alert out of Johns Creek just after 5 p.m., saying at that time that the baby was believed to be in extreme danger. Less than 10 minutes later, the Johns Creek Police Department posted on Facebook that the infant was home and safe.
Johns Creek police said Milan Simpson was taken by her father, Jamale Simpson, who does not have custody of the child. As of around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jamale Simpson was not in custody and was still wanted, according to the GBI.

Ahead of the alert, Milan Simpson had last been seen around 1:45 p.m. Sunday in Johns Creek, authorities said.
