Centennial Student Earns Perfect Score On ACT
Marianne Lamarche, a senior at Centennial High School, received a score of 36 on the exam.

ROSWELL, GA — A Centennial High School student has earned a perfect score on the ACT. Marianne Lamarche received a score of 36 on the exam, which is a national college admission curriculum-based test students can take in lieu of the more traditional SAT.
Lamarche, a senior, is planning to graduate with 10 Advanced Placement credits, and hopes to attend either the University of Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology or Vanderbilt University. She also said she is interested in studying child development, family psychology, and foreign languages, particularly French and Spanish.
The student is president of the Roswell-Alpharetta chapter of National Charity League, Centennial's National Spanish Honor Society and the school's Thespian Society. She also founded a program called EL Success Lab, which allows Centennial National Spanish Honor Society students to read to and bond with young English-language learners three days a week at Hillside Elementary School.

"I started this program with the desire to give back to the school that had taught me English when I immigrated from Quebec in 2006, and empower other students facing the same situation and challenges," she said.
Along with her studies, Lamarche has dedicated more than 100 hours each year since the seventh grade with her service to the National Charity League and more than 150 hours at North Point Community Church.
