Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:
- Starting Monday, Oct. 3, Atlanta Gas Light crews will begin work on the McGinnis Ferry Improvement Project. A natural gas distribution pipeline will be installed along McGinnis Ferry Road, from east of Bell Road to Scales Road. While work is conducted, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., motorists can expect intermittent delays. Click here for more information. (City of Johns Creek via Twitter)
- On Wednesday, Sep. 28, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced that a third man was convicted of murder in the shooting death of Atlanta rapper Blizzy. Sheldon Dooley was sentenced to two life sentences plus 45 years. (11 Alive)
- The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center in Johns Creek was featured in Atlanta Magazine's "50 Ways to Play Outside Atlanta and Beyond." Autrey Mill has created new weekly event called "Feeding Friday," where guests get a hands-on opportunity to feed turtles, frogs, bunnies, ducks, goats, chickens, and snakes. (Atlanta Magazine)
