Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. Alabama-based dessert eatery Cookie Fix is expanding to Johns Creek as part of the mixed-use development Medley. This franchise location will offer the same variety of freshly baked cookies without the use of warming drawers. Cookie Fix, known for its ever-changing menu and top-selling cookies, is set to provide a consistent and delightful experience to customers in its new Georgia location. (What Now Atlanta)
  2. Fulton County Public Works Department honors National Public Works Week — happening through May 27 — by showcasing its staff and services under the theme "Connecting the World Through Public Works." The department is responsible for maintaining sewer and water systems, stormwater management, transportation services, and water education in Fulton County. In addition to receiving a proclamation, the department hosts exhibits and offers public tours of its wastewater facilities to highlight its contributions to the community. (Fulton County Government)
  3. In case you missed it: Rainy weather didn't dampen the enthusiasm of crowds at the second Alive in Roswell festival in 2023 last week. This free monthly event, organized by the city, features live music, food trucks, and local vendors on Canton Street. With an average of 5,000 attendees, the festival has become a community gathering that appeals to people from all demographics and showcases Roswell-based businesses. The next event will be held on Jun. 15. (Alpharetta-Roswell Herald)
